The water-based glow in the dark paint is a new type of paint. It can illuminate in a dark environment. So there are more and more people to familiar and purchase. The application range of water-based luminous paint is very large. Such as the decoration of the wall surface, the safety sign of the stairs, and the marking line of the road surface, etc.
There are many factors to consider when conducting outdoor ground construction. And one of them is very important. Because It affects the life and strength of the luminous paint after construction. It is temperature.
Construction on the high-temperature ground will cause the phenomenon of paint surface bubbling. And will also affect the service life and strength of the glow in the darl paint. Glow Technology conducted a high-temperature construction test for waterborne ground paint. Let’s take a look.
The water-based glow in the dark paint
01. Use brush and rag to clean the construction base to make it water-free and dust-free. And ensuring that the base surface is clean and tidy.

02. Stick the tape around the construction site to avoid construction contamination.

03. Formulate the sealing primer and curing agent in a ratio of 100:15.

04. Before brushing the sealing primer, test the temperature is 34.9°.

05. After measuring the temperature, apply the formulated closed primer to the base surface. And wait for one hour(related to the heat of the construction environment, and the paint film can be touched dry).

06. Formulate the white primer, water, and curing agent in a ratio of 100:10:8.

07. Apply a uniform white primer to the base surface evenly. And wait for two hours after the white primer is applied (related to the temperature of the construction environment, and the paint film can be touched dry).

08. Mixing glow paint, water and curing agent in a ratio of 100:10:8

09. When brushing the varnish, it is 12 noon. So the ground temperature will continue to rise. And we use the infrared thermometer to measure the ground again. The temperature rises to 42 °. And the temperature will continue to rise.

10. Apply paint to the base surface evenly.

11. Glow in the dark paint needs to be brushed twice, every two hours (depending on the temperature of the construction environment, and the paint film can be dry).

Water-based ground glow in the dark paint single layer dosage 200g/m2, each layer construction interval 2h (coating surface is dry, 2h is absolutely safe, related to construction temperature and humidity). And the surface temperature is not higher than 60 °C, and use curing agent according to the ratio. So control these four factors to ensure the perfect effect of luminous paint.
